Yes, wolves can be trained to sit, down or any other behavior one can teach a dog. The general difference between a wolf and a dog is a higher response to hand signals over voice in wolves and wolves tend to work far better for food, or anything else they can put in their mouth, than praise relative to most dogs. Wolves also distract more easily and are far quicker to get bored with a session. Unless you can keep things interesting, many wolves tend to lose interest and stop responding.
